Just Another Day With Bubbles

The other day me and Bubbles did some bare back schooling for the first time and I cannot express how proud I was of him. He went beautifully and listened to every signal I gave him. We even had our first canter bare back and it was actually a lot easier to sit to. I’ve written about bare back riding before (which you can read here). I find horse riding in general therapeutic, but there is something about riding bare back that really connects you to your horse.

Bubbles has become a big part of my life. I started off part loaning him with another young girl June last year and in November I took him on full time. He’s a horse that spontaneously came into my life but I believe our paths were meant to cross. Horses are silent heroes. I understand why people might be scared of them. They can be pretty intimidating sometimes but there is a reason why they use horses for therapy and rehabilitation. Horses are sensitive creatures. They can easily pick up on our emotions and our energy. If you stay calm the horse stays calm. If you start to panic the horse starts to panic. Horses calm me. When I am around them I escape from the real world and I go to a world where life seems more blissful. When I was in work or going through my counselling all my emotions were released when I was around Bubbles. Horses have always allowed me to be me. He’s someone I have been able to trust 100% and if it wasn’t for him I’m not sure I would be where I am today.

I hope you all have a lovely day and give your animals a pet from me,

Lots of love,

Emma xo
